Vancouver, British Columbia – February 21, 2008 – New Pacific Metals Corp. ("New Pacific Metals") is pleased to announce that it has obtained the approval from the TSX Venture Exchange to extend the expiry date of the 2,587,499 common share purchase warrants issued by New Pacific Metals in its March 2007 private placement from March 15, 2008 to March 15, 2009. The exercise price of these warrants remains unchanged at $3.00.
