New Pacific Metals Corp. Announces Results of Continuous Disclosure Review With BCSC

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - (Oct. 28, 2008) - New Pacific Metals Corp. (TSX.V:NUX) ("NUX" or the "Company"), is issuing the following press release as a result of a continuous disclosure review by the British Columbia Securities Commission ("BCSC").
BCSC advised NUX that it had reviewed the Company's disclosure records, available to the public at www.sedar.com, and provided the Company with various comments in respect of its annual and interim Management Discussion and Analysis ("MD&A") for June 30, September 30, December 31, 2007 and March 31, 2008 (the MD&As), and the Annual Information Form (AIF) of the Company for the year ended June 30, 2008.
As a result of the review, to clarify the Company's disclosure, NUX has filed amended and restated MD&As. The amendment and restatement of the MD&As for each of the applicable periods, involved revisions necessary to more adequately address National Instrument 51-102F1 Continuous Disclosure Obligations. In addition the Company plans to file an amended AIF to address technical disclosure issues raised. None of the amendments include any changes in any dollar amounts to any of the previously filed financial statements.
